A Time Traveller has become trapped in Dunfermline’s Heritage Quarter!
The only way they can return to the past is to find ‘past-portals’ (objects that allow them to travel through time) that are hidden around the Heritage Quarter.

Click on the pictures of the buildings to ‘travel’ to each venue where you will find a puzzle to solve.
Solve the puzzles to find out the names of the ‘past-portals’ that the Time Traveller needs. Make a note of the answer at each activity. A link in each of the activities will bring you back to this page so you can travel to another venue to solve another puzzle.
There are ‘past-portals’ at each of these venues:
Abbey Church of Dunfermline
Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum
Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries
Dunfermline Abbey Nave & Palace
Once you have found all 4 ‘past-portals’, type their names into the boxes so the Time Traveller can return to the past.
If you have found the right objects, you’ll earn yourself a certificate!
