Dunfermline Skate Park

Dunfermline Skate Park

Dunfermline now has a brand new skate park!

Dunfermline Regeneration Trust, along with various sources of funding, have all contributed to the construction of a brand new skate park. The £300,000 project opened on the 14th of August 2025 and is located in Dunfermline’s Public Park, behind Carnegie Hall.

Dunfermline Skate Park Opening Day

On opening day, Dunfermline Skatepark saw skateboards, BMX bikes, rollerblades, scooters, and more from all over Scotland descend on the new park to try it out. When a new park gets built, skaters are keen to achieve an NBD, or “never been done”, being the first person to perform a trick in a particular spot. The park features a mini ramp with a spine and extension, slappy curb, and a large bowl among other things, so there are plenty of features to test out your skills on.

Graffiti in Dunfermline Skate Park

Graffiti and skating go hand in hand, and there is space for artists to express themselves in the park too. Paint can make skating surfaces slippery however, so artists are encouraged to stick to walls in and around the park, with signage to reflect this.

Who Built Dunfermline Skate Park?

Dunfermline’s new skatepark has been in the pipes for several years, with local passion driving the project forward, securing funding from Fife Council, sportscotland, Fife Environmental Trust, Avondale Environmental, Garfield Weston, and the Carnegie Trust. Dunfermline Regeneration Trust spearheaded the movement, taking design input from local skaters. All of this means the new park is an incredible dynamic space, built to nurture skating talent of all levels.
